Our Next VP8 Alumni Reunion will be in Jacksonville, Florida in October 2011.
Dates with a tentative schedule are as follows:
Oct. 20th (Thurs.) / Check-in & an Evening Reception with refreshments)
Oct. 21st (Fri.) / 1. VP8 and NAS JAX visit & Tour with lunch at the base + 2. An afternoon Bus Tour of Jacksonville
Oct. 22nd (Sat) / 1. Alumni Business Meeting & Auction + 2. Afternoon at the JAX beach and amusement area
Oct. 23rd (Sun) / 1. Morning open for church or sleep-in.. and 2. Afternoon Tour (to be determined) and 3. Alumni Farewell Dinner
Oct. 24th (Mon.) / 1. Check-out of Hotel., 2. Farewell Breakfast, .... 3. Optional Tour (to be determined *)
(Oct 25th (Tue.) / Optional *
* For members who may wish to sign up for the Monday afternoon Oct. 24th "Optional Tour", we can include an option for them to stay another night and check-out on Tuesday Oct. 25th.
With this option, we can satisfy those who want an added day at the reunion as well as ensuring that our primary functions are covered first 3 days.. Primary items iclude our Business Meeting, VP8 & JAX Tour, Alumni Dinner Reception and any other 'Hot Tours or Items' we identify in the Jacksonville or St. Augustine area ". This is a good option that accomodates those who prefer a shorter stay and those who would like an extra day. Bottom line, this should make it easier to satisfy more of our membership and get a bigger turn-out for the reunion.
